Compton III - November 2023

Returning with our artist highlight for November, we would like to shine light upon Compton, otherwise known as (@compton.iii ).

Compton is a brilliant visual artist based in New Orleans that currently focuses on toy like figures. These figures not only represent New Orleans culture, but African-American history and empowerment. Pieces such as “Z’Bo” and “SPY BOY” give youth an engaging and colorful introduction to his artistry while for adults a familiar yet new look upon New Orleans and black culture.

At his core Compton is a storyteller. He continues to find different mediums to express his art through avenues like print and clothing. He has previously done work at abstract Nola for essence, and currently has his art on display at axiom gallery on 4613 Freret st. You can also check out his website Spacebroccoli.com.
